Sophie Cunningham has missed five of the Fever's first nine games this season after she was traded in the offseason. She returned to practice Monday, but still hasn't been cleared for the game.
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever secured their third-straight win, defeating the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night. But Clark was forced to leave the game in the final minute with a groin injury, which is separate from her previous groin issue that kept her out five games.
However, Cunningham's injury has paved a path for Hayes and Ivey to play more minutes. Hayes came off the bench and averaged 18.1 minutes per game before Cunningham exited the rotation.
