NBC Nightly News anchor and managing editor, Lester Holt, has stepped down from the long-running program after 10 years. Newsweek reached out to Holt's representative via email for comment. Holt was named anchor of NBC Nightly News in June 2015.

Lester Holt was emotional as he signed off from NBC Nightly News one final time after 10 years on the show.The 66-year-old news anchor announced earlier this year that he would be leaving Nightly this summer.
