Two major commercial pilots’ associations have rejected claims human error caused an Air India crash that killed 260 people after a preliminary investigation report found the plane’s engine fuel switches had been turned off.

The aircraft accident investigation bureau has formed a team to investigate the Ahmedabad plane crash. The crash resulted in 260 deaths. The panel has already submitted a preliminary report. The report indicates a fuel control switch issue and a MAYDAY call shortly after takeoff.
