Austrian fans have enthusiastically welcomed classically trained singer JJ back home at Vienna airport after he won the Eurovision Song Contest with “Wasted Love.”

Austria has triumphed at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, with countertenor JJ winning the competition with his stunning pop-opera track "Wasted Love," Azernews reports.

The final leaderboard for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Grand Final has been confirmed following the Grand Final on Saturday night – including last place. This year’s competition took place in Basel, Switzerland after Nemo’s win with The Code in 2024.

As the 'big five countries' United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France and Italy automatically qualified for the final. Switzerland was also guaranteed a place in the grand final thanks to Nemo's victory in 2024. Read the full story here.
