WASHINGTON - Though Chris Martin has had to pull himself out of games in three of the four times the Rangers have tried to use him over the last three weeks, the team will keep him on the active roster for now.

The Texas Rangers have optioned Kumar Rocker to Triple-A and activated Chris Martin from the 15-day IL in a significant roster shakeup.

The Texas Rangers activated right-hander Chris Martin from the 15-day injured list on Thursday after he missed the last 14 games due to right shoulder fatigue. In a corresponding move, the Rangers optioned rookie right-hander Kumar Rocker to Triple-A Round Rock.
