Demonstrators have taken to the streets across multiple states on Thursday to protest President Donald Trump’s Administration in a day of action honoring the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, with more events planned across the country in the evening.

People protested in cities across the country, including Grand Rapids, Thursday as part of the “Good Trouble Lives On” movement.

Activists said they will take to the streets to protest what they say are "the most brazen rollback of civil rights in a generation" from the Trump administration.

Organizers of the march and protest say “Good Trouble Day” is a chance to honor the late Civil Rights leader and Congressman John Lewis, who viewed non-violent protest as a form of “good trouble.”
