Thousands of people nationwide have shown up at protests and rallies opposing ICE raids as unrest grows in response to the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

Multiple people were detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in downtown San Francisco on Tuesday morning, merely 12 hours after thousands of protesters took to the streets in the Mission to rally against the widespread raids taking place across California.

Dozens of anti-ICE demonstrators have gathered outside a San Francisco immigration court. The demonstration was organized over social media after local organizers received reports that at least 10 people had been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as they attended court hearings.

Protests over immigration raids stretched into a fifth night in Los Angeles and spread to other cities, including New York, Chicago and Milwaukee, prompting clashes between police and demonstrators.
