No Kings” organizers described the events as a “nationwide day of defiance” against President Donald Trump and authoritarianism.

An estimated 10,000 people were in attendance at the “No Kings” rally that began in Pioneer Park and marched north through the downtown area, the Salt Lake City Police Department said. Gunfire was heard at around 8 p.m., with video posted online showing protesters fleeing in terror.

Protests against President Donald Trump ’s administration are being held across New Jersey on a rainy Saturday — part of nationwide “No Kings Day” demonstrations coinciding with the president’s 79th birthday and a large military parade in Washington, D.C.

Additional celebrities including Anna Kendrick, Gina Rodriguez-LoCicero and Tessa Thompson were out on Saturday to protest against the Trump administration.

Texas officials arrested a man Saturday evening in connection with a "credible threat" against state lawmakers attending the Democratic-led "No Kings" protest at the state Capitol. There is no additional active threat,
