The SEC kicked off its first day of Media Days on Monday, and spinning season is already in full effect. Day 1 brought LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt to the table, all of whom are facing a wide range of pressures.

LSU football head coach Brian Kelly offered strong praise for LSU's defense at SEC Media Days. Transfers have LSU ready to contend.

LSU had the best player in college football in 2023 (Jayden Daniels), and an historically poor defense. LSU had one of the top five quarterbacks in college football in 2024 (Nussmeier), and a team that failed to consistently zero in on big games.
