Magomed Ankalaev plans to put a definitive end to his rivalry with Alex Pereira now that their rematch has finally been announced. The pair first met at UFC 313 last year, where Ankalaev ended Pereira’s reign as light heavyweight champion when he took a unanimous decision victory over the fan favorite.

Ankalaev will defend the light-heavyweight title he won against Pereira – at the same venue during UFC 313 in March – while the Brazilian will look to become champion of the division for the second time, after three previous successful defences of the title he won in late 2023.

As expected, Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira will run it back. UFC CEO Dana White on Tuesday announced the rematch for the light heavyweight championship has been officially booked to headline UFC 320 on Oct. 4 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. White shared the news, along with other big matchups, on Instagram Live.
