Mississippi Sheriff's Deputy Shot and Killed Outside Jackson
Deputy Martin Shields, 37, of the Hinds County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), was fatally shot Sunday night while responding to a call at a residence on Midway Road in Terry, Mississippi, southwest of Jackson, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
