KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Nearly 2,000 "No Kings" protests are planned across the globe Saturday as millions take a stand against federal immigration raids, foreign policy and budget cuts by the Trump Administration.

A number of "No Kings" rallies are planned for Saturday, with an emphasis on a nonviolent response to President Trump's administration. Among the rallies planned are a number in the Detroit area and throughout Michigan.

None of the “No Kings” protests are planned in Washington D.C., but 13 are planned in mid-Michigan. Local police are preparing to keep everyone safe if things escalate or tensions with counter- protesters arise. “It’s fairly normal for protests, and we’ve had them before in the City of Caro,” said Caro Police Chief Brian Newcomb.
