The Connecticut Sun could soon be in Boston. A group led by Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca has reached a deal to move the franchise to Beantown, per the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn, who reports that Pagliuca will pay a record $325 million for the team and then put $100 million into a new practice facility in Boston.

Celtics minority governor Steve Pagliuca has agreed to a deal to purchase the Connecticut Sun from the Mohegan Tribe and plans to move the franchise to Boston by 2027, The Boston Globe ‘s Gary Washburn reported Saturday.

The Sun would play its home games at TD Garden, where they played two games over the last two years and sold out the arena on both occasions. According to Washburn, the Celtics have "no issue" with the Sun becoming co-tenants at TD Garden,
