Former quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is leaving his position as head football coach at Miami Northwestern High School and seeking a return to the NFL, according to multiple media reports on Monday.

Bridgewater, 32, last appeared in the NFL during the 2024 playoffs as a member of the Detroit Lions, his second straight with the organization. He then left the league to turn to high-school coaching in Miami, but was suspended in July for allegedly providing impermissible benefits to his players.
