It’s time for another round of NHL rumours. We’re just a few days away from the March 7 trade deadline later this week. General managers across the league have some tough choices to make when it comes to their rosters.

Evander Kane has always been a bit of a wild card in his NHL career, and now there's reportedly some friction developing between the forward and the Edmonton Oilers.

While it will be tough to do at the NHL Trade Deadline, it does not mean GM Kyle Dubas is not open to moving the defenseman. Pittsburgh may not recoup the assets they gave up for him, but Karlsson still has value, especially paired with the right player.

The Edmonton Oilers finally snapped their losing streak on Saturday (Mar. 1) with a win over the Carolina Hurricanes, and it seems as though they can finally shift their focus back toward being buyers at the 2025 Trade Deadline.

Sitting right up against the salary cap, it’ll take some clever manoeuvring should the Edmonton Oilers wish to add ahead of the trade deadline and push for the Cup.
