An extreme heat watch was released by the NWS Hanford CA on Monday at 11:23 a.m. valid from Thursday 11 a.m. until Sunday 8 a.m. The watch is for Indian Wells Valley, Mojave Desert Slopes and Mojave Desert.

An extreme heat watch was issued by the NWS Portland OR on Tuesday at 5:09 p.m. valid from Friday 11 a.m. until Sunday 5 a.m. for West Columbia River Gorge - SR 14 and Central Columbia River Gorge - SR 14.

An extreme heat watch has also been issued from Wednesday afternoon through Saturday evening for much of the Southern California region. Weather officials say the hot conditions will increase the risk of heat illness for everyone, especially vulnerable populations, including young children, the elderly and those without air conditioning.
