The Sacramento Kings will play for another NBA Summer League championship after holding off the Toronto Raptors in Saturday’s semifinals. Isaac Jones scored 36 points to lead the Kings to a 98-88 victory over the Raptors at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center.
The Phoenix Suns have one more chance to pick up a second win in Las Vegas. They’ve dropped three in a row after blitzing the Washington Wizards in their summer league opener. Phoenix is coming off an 89-85 loss Wednesday, July 16, to the Minnesota Timberwolves after leading by as many as 16 points in the first half.
The Phoenix Suns will play their third preseason game Monday, July 14, against the Sacramento Kings in the second of a back-to-back.
The Sacramento Kings are off to a 2-0 start in Summer League action following wins against the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls. On Monday night they'll be facing the Phoenix Suns (tip-off at 7 p.m.). They'll be short-handed, however, as former Stanford Cardinal Maxime Raynaud has reportedly been ruled out for this contest.
