A doctored image of US President Donald Trump apparently holding up a message in support of impeached South Korean leader Yoon Suk Yeol has surfaced after the Asian nation elected a new leader on June 3.

South Korea’s opposition candidate Lee Jae-myung was elected president in a race that was largely a verdict on ousted leader Yoon Suk Yeol’s botched attempt to revive martial law after decades of democratic rule.

Millions of South Koreans are voting for a new president in a snap election triggered by the ouster of Yoon Suk Yeol, a conservative who faces a criminal trial over his short-lived imposition of martial law in December.
