Nintendo's Switch 2 console went up for preorder on April 24, and unsurprisingly it was a big deal. Retailer sites crashed and preorders sold out quickly. If you missed out on the initial rush, don't give up.

The Nintendo Switch 2, which sold out its preorders the first day they were available, will come out June 5 with a $449.99 price tag.

Earlier today, Nintendo issued an apology when interest in the Japanese preorder far exceeded the available supply. In Japan alone, Nintendo said that 2.2 million people applied to preorder the Switch 2 from the My Nintendo Store lottery. That doesn't bode well for American gamers, unfortunately.
