No. 7 national seed Tennessee (45-15) will play in its ninth College World Series in program history. The Lady Vols will face No. 2 national seed Oklahoma (50-7) on Thursday to open World Series play.

In the double elimination format, the Texas softball team will try and reach the championship series for the third time in four years.

Tennessee softball is going back to the Women's College World Series, where it will face No. 2 seed Oklahoma on May 29 in Oklahoma City.
