Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets is the 2024-25 recipient of the Vezina Trophy, awarded “to the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position,” as selected by NHL general managers. Hellebuyck was enjoying a quiet morning fishing.

For the first time in a decade, the NHL has named a goaltender its most valuable player Winnipeg Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck was awarded the 2024-25 Hart Memorial Trophy as the most valuable player to his team during the 2025 NHL Awards on Thursday.

Connor Hellebuyck became the first goaltender in 10 years to win the Hart Trophy and picked up the Vezina Trophy for the second consecutive year.
