Erik Menendez was denied parole in connection with fatally shooting his parents, José and Kitty Menendez, alongside his brother, Lyle Menendez.

The decision to deny Menendez parole came nearly 36 years to the day after he and his brother fatally shot their parents.

Erik and Lyle Menendez were both denied parole eligibility for three years. The brothers, now in their 50s, have spent more than three decades in prison for their parents' murders.
