A group of current and former FEMA officials is blasting the Trump administration for its sweeping changes to the disaster relief agency, days before the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

About 180 FEMA employees, many of them anonymous, signed a letter to Congress arguing that the agency’s leadership has hindered its ability to effectively manage emergencies.

The letter signed by 35 named employees said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and acting FEMA director David Richardson lack qualifications.
