Brodie Johnston looked like a star, but Vanderbilt baseball's offense otherwise struggled in the Southern California College Baseball Classic.

The baseball season is entering Week 3, and finally, there's some movement in the Top 25 rankings. Gahr, Cypress and Maranatha have dropped out while Newbury Park, El Dorado and Norco have joined the fold.

Vanderbilt baseball opened up the Southern California College Baseball Classic with an 8-3 win at UCLA on Friday night. The Commodores (9-1) got a triple and a home run from freshman Brodie Johnston and a home run from Mac Rose. They gave up just three hits to the Bruins (7-3). Vanderbilt will face Southern Cal at 4 p.m. CT Saturday.
