Spain are headed back to the UEFA Nations League final, one win away from lifting a trophy for the third straight summer, after outlasting France 5-4 in a scintillating second semifinal.

In their first meeting since the Euro 2024 semifinal, France fell to Spain, 5-3. France had previously beaten Spain 2-1 in the 2021 Nations League final. Spain will now play Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday (3 p.m. ET on FOX). France will play Germany in the third-place match.

Spain's teenage sensation Lamine Yamal inspired his country to a thrilling 5-4 win over France on Thursday to send the holders through to their third successive Nations League final where they will face Iberian neighbours Portugal.
