Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night to make this a series. The Timberwolves took Game 3 by an overwhelming 143-101 for their first win of the Western Conference finals.
Edwards came out throwing haymakers. When your best player exerts his dominance, others feel more comfortable to fulfill their roles. Suddenly, the 3-pointers of everyone else started to fall. Mike Conley, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo all started raining down triples with confidence.
The T’Wolves held the Thunder scoreless for nearly five minutes, ripping off a 25-5 run. The Timberwolves grabbed their largest lead of the series in that opening frame. They forced five turnovers from OKC, while out-rebounding them, 14-8.
