The FAA said the pilot, Anthony Jones, was the only one on board the helicopter at the time of the crash, which happened shortly after 7 a.m. in Suffield Township.

The helicopter crashed into Mogadore Reservoir in Portage County, Ohio, with emergency services responding and an investigation underway.

Shrouded under the Star-Spangled Banner, Anthony Jones' body was brought to the transport vehicle between rows of first responders who stopped to honor the veteran “with a very heartfelt salute,” SFD shared.
