Tim Herlihy has had a lasting and prolific creative partnership with Adam Sandler, the star of Netflix's 'Happy Gilmore 2,' which he co-wrote with the actor.

Other New Jersey Happy Gilmore 2 filming locations include Steve’s Burgers on Route 46 in Garfield, Ideal Beach in Middletown, around the town in South Orange and Maplewood, Dayton Street School in Newark, the Civic Center in Verona, and various other locations in Irvington and Essex County.

“Happy Gilmore,” released in 1996, was Sander and Herlihy’s second movie, following “Billy Madison.” Sandler was just exiting “Saturday Night Live.” Herlihy was Sandler’s roommate at New York University and became a lawyer before Sandler got him to stick to writing comedy.
