President Donald Trump announced Friday that U.S. officials will meet with their Chinese counterparts in London on Monday to discuss trade. The United States and China have been at a trade impasse since signing a 90-day tariff ceasefire in May.

Teams will try to resolve tariffs war amid spats over China’s curbs on rare minerals and US revocation of student visas.

Trump announced a new round of trade talks with China next week, a day after calling Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in a bid to end a battle over tariffs.
