A 40-year-old Chaska man pleaded guilty Thursday for his role in the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.

CHASKA, Minn. — A natural gas line rupture in Chaska Thursday morning caused residents to evacuate their homes and a street to temporarily close, police said.

A teen boy who escaped authorities in Chaska on Sunday is still on the run, Blue Earth County authorities say.

Police in Chaska arrested a Pioneer Ridge Middle School student after he allegedly made threats of violence towards a group of students on social media Wednesday night. Authorities say they initially received the report Thursday morning, stating that the student made the threats involving a gun.

According to the Chaska Police Department, he escaped from the custody of a Blue Earth County deputy around 8:24 a.m. near the Carver County Government Center.

An immediate search, involving a large police presence, K-9 units and drones, of the immediate area was not successful.

The Chaska Police Department has issued an alert over a juvenile inmate who is said to have escaped from custody Sunday morning. According to a Facebook post from the department, the 17-year-old boy, described as a Black male who is 5’8” and weighs 140 pounds, escaped while being transferred from Blue Earth County to Carver County.
