Katherine Legge, a 44-year-old Brit with experience in the Xfinity Series as well as in open-wheel racing and other formats, will get a start this week at Phoenix Raceway.

Katherine Legge is set to become the first woman driver in a NASCAR Cup series race since Danica Patrick retired in 2018, Mooresville-based Live Fast Motorsports said Monday. Legge will make her Cup series debut in the Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway Sunday.
