New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns is actually skipping the game this time. Towns declined to engage in Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green's verbal warfare against him and the Knicks as they continued to embark on a Western swing.

Karl-Anthony Towns is in the midst of a career season, his first in a Knicks uniform. After the Timberwolves sent the star big man to New York prior to the 2024-25 season, Towns has averaged 24.5 points, his most since the 2021-22 season, along with a career-high 13.4 rebounds per game.

It was only the seventh game Towns has missed in his first season with the Knicks. However, it seems that he could sit out more in the coming days. Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said it remains unknown if the All-Star big man would join them in their five-game road trip, according to a report from the Associated Press.
