The New York Yankees (39-25) were unable to secure a series win on Sunday night in the Bronx, falling 11-7 to the Boston Red Sox (32-35) despite an early lead and another big night from Aaron Judge. Carlos Rodón cruised through four scoreless innings before Boston struck back in the fifth.
The Royals did manage to score before the game ended, as Salvador Perez launched a two-run homer off Mark Leiter Jr. in the ninth after a routine popup fell in the Yankees’ infield. Leiter then gave away another run with a throwing error.
