The Chicago Sky moved to 3-7 during the 2025 WNBA season after a 78 to 66 win against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. This win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Sky and gave them their first win in the Commissioner's Cup as well.
The Chicago Sky star filed a trademark application over the weekend for the term, which refers to a rebound a player secures off her own missed shot. Although the term is relatively new, the “mebound” concept has hounded Reese throughout her first two WNBA seasons.
The Connecticut Sun lost 78-66 to the Chicago Sky at on Sunday afternoon, extending the worst start in franchise history through 10 games.
Fueled by Angel Reese’s 11 assists — more than double her previous career high — the Chicago Sky had five players in double-figure scoring. Reese also had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Hailey Van Lith added five points off the bench, although she and Reese combined for 12 turnovers as the home team made a number of important mistakes down the stretch to spoil a promising start.
