Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum left Monday's Game 3 against the New York Knicks in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a foot or ankle injury. He was assisted off the court by trainers and taken through the Madison Square Garden tables in a wheelchair.

There have been dozens of times the Celtics star sustained a painful injury, but Tatum would rise to his feet quickly. He couldn’t rise Monday.

NEW YORK CITY — After trying to prevent a turnover and racing out to OG Anunoby late in the fourth quarter of Game 4 between the Celtics and the Knicks, Jayson Tatum collapsed to the floor on a non-contact play. Tatum immediately withered in pain, motioned for Joe Mazzulla to call a timeout, and trainers rushed over to him.
