Justin Allgaier took the lead on the final restart, then held off teammate Connor Zilisch to win the Tennessee Lottery 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on May 31 at Nashville Superspeedway. Allgaier took the lead with 47 laps to go on a daring three-wide move on the restart,
NASCAR’s 2024 winners at Nashville are Joey Logano (Cup), John Hunter Nemechek (Xfinity) and Christian Eckes (Truck). Logano is the only defending winner on the entry list (Nemechek will race Cup, and Eckes is in the Xfinity race).
The two provisionals will allow the field to be expanded by two entries, but only if needed. It would push the starting grid from 38 to a maximum of 40 teams.
NASCAR officials have added international provisionals for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race in Mexico City, expanding the field to 40 cars.
