Doctor Who’s recent season finale ended with a surprising regeneration and a familiar face. After only two short seasons, Ncuti Gatwa’s time as Doctor Who has come to a (rather disappointing) end. Note: this post contains spoilers for this past weekend’s Doctor Who season finale.

And, after less than a year-and-a-half in the role, Ncuti Gatwa’s tenure feels like it’s ended too soon. Eighteen-and-a-bit episodes were barely enough to scrape the surface of this extremely likeable Time Lord.
