The first Tesla for India has landed but the question is, has it been worth the wait? The Model Y is a logical choice being its best selling car and it is one of the best selling cars in the world. The new updated Model Y is on sale in India in its RWD avatar along with the LR variant which adds more power and range.

Tesla launched on Tuesday its Model Y at about $70,000 in India, a significant markup relative to its other major markets, reflecting the country's high tariffs on electric vehicle imports which CEO Elon Musk has long-criticised.

Beyond the car specs, Tesla cars are known for its cutting-edge automotive technology such as its Autopilot features and Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised as well as other unique features such as Bioweapon defence mode.
