The air quality in northern and central Minnesota was expected to reach the red Air Quality Index category, which is unhealthy for everyone.

According to the alert, air quality will be unhealthy for all people in northern Minnesota, including East Grand Forks, Moorhead, Bemidji, Detroit Lakes, Alexandria, Brainerd and Duluth.
