An Israeli airstrike rocked southern Beirut on Sunday soon after the military issued an evacuation warning for the Lebanese capital. Footage from Reuters showed a huge plume of smoke rising from the area shortly after 6:00 p.

Israeli jets have struck Beirut’s southern suburbs in the third such attack since a ceasefire began in late November.

The latest strike adds to strains on the U.S.-brokered ceasefire that ended last year's conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
