Last year the Connecticut Sun made league history playing the first ever WNBA game in Boston. Now they sold out the Garden again, welcoming the Indiana Fever and the famed Caitlin Clark. The Fever beat the Sun 85-77. With the league growing in popularity, and amid reports the Sun might be sold, some leaders in Boston believe this is a no brainer.

"I think the market here itself is just going to be better for a women’s basketball program," said Sun guard Saniya Rivers.

The WNBA has officially shifted its focus to All-Star Weekend, with three Indiana Fever players set to be in attendance: Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.

The WNBA All-Star game is happening in Indianapolis this weekend and city leaders, restaurant owners and residents are prepping for what they hope will be a healthy infusion to the local summer economy.

Boston, who starred at Worcester Academy, was the No. 1 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft. Boston said the city "helped raise me" and that "Boston repping Boston just felt right."
