President Donald Trump is withdrawing roughly half of the National Guard force sent to Los Angeles to quell the anti-ICE riots that engulfed the city last month. Nearly 4,000 National Guard soldiers and 700 Marines have been guarding federal facilities in Los Angeles for more than a month,

The president ordered the deployment of about 4,000 California National Guard troops and 700 active-duty Marines in early June to respond to a series of protests against immigration raids.
