The attack struck the Shevchenkivskyi district, damaging civilian buildings and leaving a large crater in the road.

At least three people were killed in the assault on the capital, and at least one died and 11 were wounded in a separate strike in the southern city of Zaporizhzhia.

Ukraine said the strikes hit Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia overnight. Russia called the Kyiv strikes a response to Ukrainian attacks on Belgorod.
