A lifelong friend of New Brunswick's world-famous jockey, Ron Turcotte, said he's going to miss Turcotte more for the humble and kind man he was than for being a great athlete.
The Canadian jockey won each Triple Crown race twice, most notably sweeping the three with Secretariat to end the sport's Crown drought that dated to Citation in 1948.
Ron Turcotte, who was one of the most accomplished jockeys in horse-racing history, died Friday at the age of 84.
