Texas Longhorns HC Vic Schaefer Named SEC Coach Of The Year
No. 1 Texas Longhorns head coach Vic Schaefer was named SEC Coach of the Year Tuesday for the fourth time in his career and in Texas' first season in the SEC. Schaefer led Texas to a 15-1 conference record and a share of the regular season title.
Vic Schaefer, Rori Harmon other Texas Longhorns earn SEC honors
Texas guards Madison Booker, Rori Harmon and Jordan Lee were the other players who earned honors. Harmon was selected to the SEC All-Defensive team. After tearing her ACL at the beginning of the 2023-24 season, Harmon returned to the court with the same defensive grit that earned her 2023 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Honors.
