Cardington’s softball season ended at West Jefferson in the Division VI district semifinals in a heartbreaker Thursday.

A stellar performance by Kort Sears led Highland to a 4-0 win in the Division IV sectional finals against Bishop Ready. The win was the team’s 20th of the year against seven defeats.
