Ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 release, retailers including Amazon, Argos and Very have dropped the price of the Switch OLED models, with shoppers able to pick up a console from £49 with one enticing

The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to release next week on June 5, ringing in a whole new era of video games for the Japanese tech company. Launching with a brand new version of Mario Kart, it's looking to be incredibly popular with pre-orders selling out almost everywhere in the run up to launch.

According to Bloomberg, Samsung has already started pushing to use its OLED panels in a future version of the Switch 2. While that doesn't mean an OLED Switch 2 is confirmed just yet, the fact that one of Nintendo's key hardware partners is pushing for an OLED model could be good news.
